Where are you located, and what areas do you serve?
We are based in Kapiti and proudly serve the wider Kapiti, Horowhenua, Porurua, Wellington & Hutt regions. Whether you're moving within Kapiti or need items transported to/from the area, we've got you covered.
Is there insurance coverage for my goods during transportation?
Goods are carried at the owner's risk, but we advise obtaining transit insurance if required for added peace of mind. The Carriage of Goods Act 1979 Sect 8-28 applies "at owner's risk." It is advised to obtain your own insurance if required. It remains your responsibility to securely pack any delicate or valuable items for transport.
What is your availability for transportation services?
Our transportation services are available on Thursday, Friday & Monday, however we can operate outside of these days upon request. Whether you require a same-day pickup or prefer to schedule in advance, we strive to accommodate your timeline and ensure a smooth experience from start to finish.
What is the minimum fee for Kapiti Man and Van?
The minimum fee is $120, which includes GST, 1 van, 1 man for 1 hour, and covers up to 25 kilometers.
Are there additional charges for extra distance traveled or extra time required?
Yes, extras are charged at $2.95 per kilometer and $45 per hour (charged in 15-minute increments after the first hour). An extra man is also charged at $45 per hour.
How can I make payment
Cash, Eftpos, Debit/Credit Card, Laybuy are available for payment.
How and when do I need to make payments?
All payments, unless otherwise agreed, are due on delivery of the goods or the issuance of an invoice (if requested in advance). Late payments incur additional fees and may be passed to a collection agency for recovery.
Can I get estimates for specific routes or jobs?
Yes, free fee estimates are provided. For example, a van with one staff member from Paraparaumu to Otaki (24 km) costs $120, from Paraparaumu to Wellington (50 km) is $192, and from Paraparaumu to Lower Hutt (42 km) is $169.
Do clean tip runs incur additional fees?
Yes, clean tip runs incur the Council tip fee for a van and up to 300kgs, which is $83.50. Additional fees may apply for certain items.
Are there fixed hourly rates available for longer jobs?
Yes, an hourly rate for a van and 1 man includes unlimited kilometers (minimum 3 hours) at $165 per hour. Contact for pricing on jobs requiring two men.
What happens if items don't fit in one trip?
If a second trip is needed, a 20% discount off the original trip price is applied
